Curt is a strategist and management consultant in the rapidly evolving Craft Beer Industry.  He just recently published his first book Occupation Fermentation: The Secrets to Building A Successful Craft Beer Business.

Curt brings a unique perspective to his audiences with over 30 years of strategic development, financial assessment, marketing implementation and operational expertise in a variety of industries including Commercial Real Estate, Beverages and Hospitality. Curt is the Chief Advisor/CEO of Craft Beer Insights, one of the nation’s premier advisory firms in the Craft Beer Industry. His team provides guidance on branding, operations and value creation to firms throughout the U.S.

He is also founder of New Canaan Advisors, a leading Northeastern U.S. business/real estate advisory firm that provides public and private organizations with a unique resource for transforming underutilized real estate assets and facilities into new opportunities. Prior to launching NCA, he had long-term leadership roles on the teams that redeveloped two of New York City’s highest visibility real estate icons — Grand Central Terminal and the World Trade Center.

Curt has a Bachelor of Science with Distinction from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration.  During this time period he developed an expertise in food and beverage operations having worked with Disney, Lufthansa Sky Chefs and Guest Quarters hotels.

Curt also graduated with an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management. 

He started his post-business school career with Pepsi Cola Company. During his almost decade long-tenure he served in several roles of increasing responsibility including Director of Strategic Planning. Curt also enjoyed a broad range of unique and dynamic experiences in commercial real estate during a 20-year career with Jones Lang LaSalle. He climbed through a series of increasingly challenging positions ranging from responsibilities as Property Manager, Asset Manager, Tenant Representative, Client Relationship Manager and Project Executive.
